Van Gough Inspired Tissue Paper Project

In this project, we studied Vincent Van Gough's art work, and the style he uses. We picked our own scene that we wanted to create. Mine is a beach, but some other options are city scape, desert, etc. We used tore up tissue paper, and stuck it down to our paper with Modge Podge, and then made our silhouette with black construction paper, and added Van Gough-inspired details with white crayon. We also had to do a response to what we learned about Vincent Van Gough by writing three things we learned about him throughout the project.

Extension activity: Students will have to make a presentation on Vincent Van Gough's life (birthd place and day, death place and day, age at death, education, fun fact, occupation, family life). Students will then go on a gallery walk of each others work, and write compliments for each one.
